Megan Vega
megan.vega@foxtv.comReporter
Megan Vega joined My9 News in the summer of 2003 as a general assignment reporter.
Megan began her career in Joplin, Missouri at KOAM-TV as a general assignment reporter. Six months later she was promoted to the anchor desk for the various evening newscasts.
From Missouri, Megan moved to Connecticut where she worked as a freelance reporter for six months. In April of 2003, Megan began working as a reporter at WNYW Fox-5 and was transferred to My9 WWOR in the summer.
Megan was born in Brooklyn and was raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. Being a storyteller is all that Megan has ever wanted to do. She decided to become a journalist in fifth grade and after attending Ridgewood High School in New Jersey she attended the University of Massachusetts. She has her degree in Journalism from UMass.
Megan enjoys meeting the diverse people of the tri-state area and helping them tell their stories. For My9 News, she has traveled the country to cover the North Carolina hurricanes in 2003, the 2003 World Series in Florida and New York, the re-election of George W. Bush in Washington and most recently the Presidential Inauguration.
Megan is happy spending time with her husband, her family and friends.
